Moodboard
Case Study

This project was designed for the everyday working family in mind. A family of four with two small kids had to have a very functional layout and be able to withstand the wear and tear that comes with children.

The planning of the space was crucial. A lot of the furniture chosen is small for easier maneuverability, has a secondary function for efficiency and is a specific colour for durability. Dark colours on the rug and sectional can withstand spills and stains more easily with children. A light sofa by the fireplace creates a nice contrast and is a place for grown-ups to have a conversation.

Through our design development with our client’s, we noticed they favoured blues and gold’s so we worked with that throughout the scheme. We painted the field walls a light grey with a dark blue feature over the fireplace and staircase making a nice backdrop for art and photos.
