Flooring
matching material to moment
Not every room needs the same floor, and not every floor needs to be the same material throughout the home.
Engineered hardwood brings the warmth and character of real wood with better stability against temperature shifts and daily wear. It’s our go-to for living areas and bedrooms where comfort underfoot matters.
Luxury vinyl plank (LVP) has come a long way. It’s fully water-resistant, highly durable, and reads convincingly as wood or stone. For high-traffic areas or homes with pets, it’s often the smartest call.
Large-format porcelain is the workhorse of hard finishes. Nearly zero maintenance, waterproof, and scratch-resistant. It’s what we reach for in mudrooms, entryways, and anywhere that takes a beating.
The transition between zones matters too. Part of our process is mapping which material belongs where, so the home feels cohesive without every room being identical.
Countertops

Countertops are the visual centrepiece of a kitchen, but they’re also the hardest-working surface in the home. That tension between beauty and performance is exactly where material selection gets interesting.
Marble is stunning, and easy to understand why it’s so popular. But it comes with trade-offs. It’s porous, it etches with acids, and it needs annual sealing. For the right application it’s worth it. For a passionate home cook, it isn’t.

A note on honesty
No finish is truly indestructible. A dropped cast-iron pan can leave a mark. Marble will show its age. Even the most durable LVP has its limits.
